Lianna grew up riding and showing in upstate New York with Sarah Barge and Sarah Donahue. She started showing in the small green ponies and has climbed the ranks to successfully competing in the 1.40m jumpers. She grew up mainly doing the hunters, but also dabbled in the equitation. In 2018, she finished 3rd at Marshall and Sterling Equitation Finals.

 

Afterwards, she took a break from riding to attend Duke University’s nursing school. She soon realized that she missed riding too much and has been competing up and down the east coast since. Lianna has had top placings at major venues like Tryon, Aiken, WEF, and HITS. Lianna recently found a new passion for the jumpers, and successfully completed her first 2 Grand Prix and ribboning in both!

 

Lianna excels at building self confidence in both rider and horse by being patient and meeting them where they are, yet at the same time gently encouraging them to push themselves. She enjoys working with young/sensitive horses and riders, and has produced and sold top quality sport horses. 

 

Lianna is also a certified RN with PALS/ACLS/BLS certifications.
